09 Oct Getting Ready to Launch
Everything has been moving fast. Getting ready for our first fundraiser, filing for a non-profit status with the state, publishing this website and even writing this first blog post. The medical mission in the Philippines has been in the works for about six months. We took a little bit of a break from planning the mission because the wedding planning along with our hectic work schedules left us very little time and energy. During our honeymoon, it felt great to be able to take a breather and have nothing to worry about. Even if it was only for nine days.
Motivation and inspiration kicked in high gear again after hearing about the excitement and anticipation from the local villages or “barangays” that we are going to serve. As we progressed through our planning and began to tell more people about the mission, I became overwhelmed with the amount of support that people are providing. This daunting task project just became a lot more manageable knowing so many are people behind us.
