The Dinner/Dance Fun!

December 3rd: First Add Up Event

Our first Add Up Event was a huge success! We had such a great turnout and I even learned a new dance move (though I have since forgotten). There was over one hundred in attendance as we indulged in far too much food, line-dancing, cha-cha’s and laughter. The kids were running around everywhere, there were rad 80’s dance circle’s, and tons of pictures being taken. One of my husbands good friends, Allan Del Santos, made a fantastic cake for our first event, perfectly showcasing The Sum of One’s logo.

After the dancing died down and the laughter subsided, it hit me. We are going to the Philippines. On our first of many medical missions. I was lost in a sea of thoughts as I started thinking about all the preparations that still need to be made. I looked over to the other side of the room and stopped myself from getting overwhelmed as I saw the friendly and supportive faces that still remained. A smile grew across my face as I realized that helping people is never overwhelming.

Thank you to everyone that was able to come and support us during our first event, it was a blast! For those of you that supported us from afar, your help is going to make a huge difference in the lives of hundreds of families.
